CORE Software Corporation is hiring a Business Development Representative. This is an excellent opportunity to join a small but growing Ottawa-based company with an established North American and European customer base. The Business Development Representative will be responsible for all "inside sales" prospect development activities for the company. The Business Development Representative will identify and qualify prospective commercial customers and work closely with the sales team to build a relationship with each prospect and advance them through the sales cycle. The target customer base for this position consists of government departments and businesses in all industries that are running legacy applications built using Cognos PowerHouse 4GL, a server-based development environment. You will also work closely with the marketing team to develop and execute marketing programs that further build the business.
Primary Responsibilities: List sourcing, qualification and management through cold calling and internal leads; Prospect qualification, advancement and relationship management; Complete pipeline tracking and reporting; Manage the leads contact management database; Work with sales to improve the quality of the leads; Help develop and achieve quarterly and annual lead targets; Work with marketing and sales to create and deliver materials (presentations, brochures, case studies), and organize and execute events (webcasts, trade shows, customer visits); Work closely with sales and marketing to build integrated marketing programs that advance current prospects and identify new prospects.
Requirements: Bachelor's Degree; 2 to 4 years experience in Business Development, Inside Sales or Marketing; Must have experience with lead tracking software and systems; Must be comfortable interacting with executive management; Excellent written and verbal communication skills; Software or high-tech industry preferred.
